EHR Integration Engineer

About The Position

Nym empowers healthcare providers with AI-based solutions that simplify healthcare administration and optimize revenue cycle management processes.

Our interdisciplinary team has developed innovative technology that can understand clinical language and provides an entirely new way of analyzing and decoding medical records into clear, concise, and actionable information.

Nym leverages this technology to fully automate medical coding, bringing greater efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings to revenue cycle management. Our autonomous coding engine can support six specialty areas, including emergency medicine, radiology, outpatient surgery, outpatient visits, inpatient professional services, and urgent care.

Role and Responsibilities:

Join our team! Nym is looking for an EHR Integration Engineer to design and own efficient integration implementation and support processes with enterprise healthcare clients. You'll join our growing Customer Operations organization, reporting to our Director of Integration. In this role, you'll be responsible for scaling and standardizing our integration process, which includes both the process for extracting data from customers' EHRs to power Nym products as well as integrating Nym deliverables into customer workflows.

As the EHR Integration Analyst, you will:

Build relationships with IT stakeholders at large health systems and provider groups to extract the data required to power Nym's autonomous coding products.
Develop customer-facing collateral, like slides, workflow diagrams, and written guides, to make the technical integration process feel easy and standardized.
Develop and maintain internal, Python-based tools and scripting
Be a subject matter expert, describing Nym's integration methods and instilling confidence in customers.
Provide technical expertise and solutions both internally and to our customers regarding interface design and specifications using industry-standard technologies such as HL7v2 and FHIR
Partner with internal product & engineering teams to identify opportunities to increase ease and efficiency for both internal and external teams related to EHR integrations; proactively identify risks and propose mitigations throughout the life of the implementation.
Be a key member of the Nym Customer Operations organization and an advocate for customers.
Travel, occasionally, to customer sites, which are large US-based health systems and provider groups

Requirements

Have experience working on integrations with Epic, Cerner, or other EHR Vendors. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in the industry.
Are a problem solver at heart. You will face unique challenges across our customers and be required to use critical thinking, experience, and creative problem solving to design solutions that work for Nym and the Customer.
Thrive in a work environment that challenges you to balance multiple projects at the same time.
Demonstrate an ability to understand customer workflows and adapt solutions to fit their needs. Bonus if you have experience in healthcare revenue cycle management workflows.
A strong working knowledge of HL7 interfaces, FHIR, and interface engines (ie Rhapsody) is preferred, but we accept candidates with strong EHR application knowledge who demonstrate an ability to adapt and build these skills.

Approximate base compensation: $150,000 - $160,000. The final package may vary and will be determined by various factors including location the role is expected to be performed, candidate experience, education and ideal qualifications.
